Our mission is to inspire and promote an eco-conscious lifestyle that doesn’t sacrifice luxury and comfort.
It all started when Kamala Allison purchased a bamboo t-shirt for her husband, Jason. They were both impressed with how soft and comfortable the shirt was. Not long after, their 10-year-old son, Micah, got bamboo socks which immediately became his favorite pair of socks. Kamala began to seek out more bamboo clothing for herself and her family, and through the process became educated on the benefits of bamboo. Not only is bamboo ultra-soft, it is also eco-friendly, naturally breathable, and high performance.
In 2018, the Allison’s opened Fybr Bamboo on Pacific Ave in Santa Cruz. While Fybr’s main focus is bamboo, they carry other unique items made from alternative textiles and recycled materials as well as natural body products and socially conscious brands. Every item has a story behind it from eco-conscious to social good.
Fybr’s mission is to inspire and promote an eco-conscious lifestyle that doesn’t sacrifice luxury and comfort. From the day we opened, customers have raved about our luxurious bamboo sheets. Many of the same customers have been pleasantly surprised that they could also enjoy the bamboo softness of our activewear and under garments. We pride ourselves in supporting other local businesses by carrying locally made jewelry and body products. Sustainability is a high priority and one of the exciting non-bamboo products we carry are bags and wallets made from recycled billboards.
Our customers are conscious shoppers and want to know they’re buying high quality items that enhance their lifestyle while also doing good for the planet. Our goal is to make conscious shopping the mainstream, not just for a select few.
